Since the time of inception of Spencer & Spencer that has been offering the bright chrome plating. Chrome is generally a term commercially refer to materials handled in bulk. It is a chemical element that is slang for Chromium. Chrome is a metal, but it is not useful as a solid or pure substance. Things are never made of solid chrome. Even though many items are not polished or buffed prior to being chrome plated they still have a lustrous finish if desired.
Most items are nickel plated prior to commercial chrome plating. The lustrous finish is obtained with this layer of nickel. Bright chrome plating generally applies to industrial applications and can be achieved on many types of metals includin0067 brass, steel, stainless steel, zinc die-cast and ABS plastics.
Chrome is applied to a base coat of nickel to prevent the nickel from tarnishing. It is sometimes described as having a more ''silver'' look than nickel. The bright Chrome plating is more reflective, bluer, grayish and more specular. The reflection of bright chrome plating is deeper, less distorted, more like a mirror than other finishes.
